Have i missed something? Women are well represented across all genres. Horizon, strong female lead. FF7 remake (Tifa, Aerith) both ends of the spectrum. Last of us (LGBT). Why is this a thread?

There are strong female game characters. There is a variant of every type of female under the fucking sun in video games, thus female video game characters resemble females. Variety is a good thing. Don't confuse some AAA video games with all of gaming. There's a weird trend of western devs treating feminine features as a bad thing for sure, but if you only focus on those designs then it'll only make it more prominent.

Spend as much time if not more finding positives as you do criticising that which you fimd negative.

I enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn, and I put well over 100 hours into it. The graphics are amazing.

I wouldn't say Aloy doesn't look like a female at all. She's no stunner but her design makes sense in the world that Guerilla created.

What the OP put and your statement are two different statements. The OP said when will Female video game charaters go back to resembling females?. And you added attractiveness into it. Which your implying every female is attractive and that still wouldn't be possible due to preference. To you you've stated Alloy is unattractive but to someone else she is. And it still goes to be said how does resembling =/= attractiveness. Some peope may say Bayonetta is attractive, some may say she is not.

They already do. There have been a few major AAA games in the past few years with attractive women. Sadie Adler might have been a badass but she was hot.

I didn't buy Control because the protagonist looked really ugly. If the character I'm playing isn't cool or attractive I'm not interested in buying it.

I mean the chicks in MK 11 are super sexy especially Sindel and Witcher 3 chicks Triss and Yen and any Final Fantasy chicks are always hot also Resident Evil chicks so i don't know what games OP be playing but i see plenty of games with super fine females that have not devolved.

I'm not sure why this even started to happen? Evolution of gaming shouldn't meant evolving females into men.

I don't find females that look like men, attractive in real life. So I'm not going to suddenly be attracted to females that resemble males in my videogames.

I put this issue in the same category of added dlc which could have been implemented in the initial release of a game (buying dlc to unlock what's already on the disc), and loot boxes.
